An Introduction To

What I Offer

I am a facilitator who specialises in supporting people to work collaboratively in meeting their own needs and the needs of others in education and community settings.

I offer creative group sessions that support and address mental health and wellbeing for adults, and children and young people aged 5 to 18.  All of the packages below can be tailored to suit what you want to work on in terms of, mental health, personal or workplace wellbeing and school non-attendance.

I don’t work from a script or set of exercises, instead, I actively listen to what you’re telling me to understand what your needs and options are, drawing on my knowledge and experience, to consider how we may work together.

I provide a free, 30 minute consultation from which I can produce a tailored schedule for you with a price. Drop me a message  on the contact form to book a meeting with me.

1.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

Group sessions to support and address mental health and wellbeing for adults, and children and young people aged 5 to 18.

Do you support groups who are struggling with their mental health?

I am highly skilled in leading individuals and groups in a process of exploration and holding a safe and compassionate space for participants in collaborative, creative work. I encourage people to express how they feel in their own words or style of creativity. This involves the creation and facilitation of tailored workshops on mental health and wellbeing utilising creative writing, storytelling, and art.

I have more than 15 years experience of working with schools, communities, people in recovery, refugees and women’s groups. I am skilled in creating and holding safe, calm and empathic spaces.

Participants leave with a better understanding of their own story and strategies for self-care and compassion. People tell me I have a warm and engaging approach and they feel able to process their thoughts within the space I create.

2.

Workplace Wellbeing

I deliver strengths-based strategies, providing transferrable skills, that recognise we are the experts of our own lives.

I consult with you on your organisation and teams’ wellbeing needs to help you identify where you need support. My sessions focus on self-care with a Trauma Informed and Solution Oriented Approach to understanding how to apply this knowledge, without having to make huge changes and no need for apps or subscribing to a programme.

3.

School Non-Attendance Support (school refusal)

Is your child struggling to attend school?

I provide guidance around identifying needs for children who struggle to attend school, navigating what supports are available. I use Solution Oriented Approaches for supporting your child and understanding distressed behaviours including mental health issues. I will help you:

I have in-depth working and lived experience of responding effectively to the needs of young people who are avoiding school due to a range of mental health or emotional issues e.g., anxiety related to Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) including Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), trauma or Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

My work in schools’ services in social care, and experience as a Children’s Hearings panel member  has allowed me a deeper insight into supports and services that surround children and young people, and how to navigate these often complex systems.
